As we enter the magical month of October, I can't help expressing my love for this end-of fall season, when we are embraced by hues of gold and crimson.
We are finally entering the exiting and creative world of Halloween, when children toss the nice and tidy - and become ghosts, vampires, witches and magicians; allowing them to openly explore, feel and experience the world of magic and mystery.
And indeed, Halloween is more than costumes and candy. It's the season when the veil separating our world from the spirit world grows thin. It's a time when we embrace the mystical and the unexplained. It's a reminder that magic still exists in the ordinary and always will be. I practice my mediumship with extra devotion around the All Hallow's Eve / All Saints' Eve, remembering how much our passed loved ones still wants to talk to us, advice us, send us love and be part of our lives.
Halloween is also about coming together with (living) friends and family, harvesting, kindling the shared moments and warming us all with soups, pies and hot beverages, preparing for the cold season which lies ahead. October is a time for sipping cider by the fire, meeting in divination circles under the harvest moon and remembering all those loving ancestors we now know only in spirit.
As we enter this enchanting season, let's revel in the magic, the sweet and the sentimental.
I wish you all a joyful and thankful Halloween season.
xx
